Vehicle description

There are not many times when you come across a nearly 60 year old car and she's as straight as an arrow, but here we have an absolutely excellent Vauxhall PA Velox that is just that. First registered on the 10/05/1962 in her original colour of Honey Gold with matching Gold interior and Beige carpets. Sometime between 1999 and 2006 the car underwent a superb colour change to it's current colour of what looks to be Vauxhall Imperial Ivory. To say that it was an excellent job doesn't do it justice, everywhere on the car even down to inside the door hinge apertures, under the bonnet, boot, spare wheel well have all been painted, in fact until you stick your head up under the dashboard and look at the bulkhead you really can't tell. Showing only 2 previous owners on the current V5 but looking at the paperwork I believe it has had 1 or 2 more, DVLA records are a bit unreliable prior to computerisation. Fitted with Vauxhalls silky smooth 2651 cc straight six she purrs along, column change 3 speed gearbox and servo brakes, she is a pleasure to drive. Distinct "American 50s" styling with the rear fins, lots of chrome and the front bench seat she really is a reminder of days gone by. Previously owned by an avid collector who kept her as his pride and joy until he couldn't drive her, so she has sat in a garage for probably the best part of 3 years, we put a battery on, fresh fuel and away she went. Last Mot'd in 2018 she has only covered 79 miles since, if you look at the prior MoT history it passed every year with no advisories. I have MoT certificates dating back to 1974 with a mileage of 53033 and looking at the certificates I am relatively certain that the mileage of 61,000 is true, I also have a number of tax discs dating back to 2000. Also have some paperwork including an invoice from Mathewsons of "Bangers and Cash" fame who sold the car to a Mr Turner in 1999.
