For sale here is an outstanding MGB Roadster first registered 18/08 1971. Finished in Tartan Red with Black leather interior with red piping. This is another car that was completely restored by local marque experts J&R Motors. We have now had the privilege of purchasing the 3rd to last car done by them before retirement and as with the other two the work is outstanding and has certainly remained in truly lovely condition and stood the test of time due to level of craftsmanship and the care and attention from its owners since. Lots of history with the car dating back to old MoT s from 1991 and history/receipts going back to 1985. The car was subjected to a complete restoration between 1992 and 1993 at which time a new Heritage bodyshell was purchased, refinished, and rebuilt using mostly new parts. A fully recondition lead free engine was also purchased and fitted. We have many photographs of the car taken during different stages of its restoration as well as all the receipts and invoices that add up to many, many thousands of pounds. We believe the car has only covered around 4,000 miles since. Fitted with wire wheels and overdrive. The rear shock absorbers have been updated to telescopic dampers the car has also been fitted with electric windows (this is something that seems to be the usual mod from J&R as the other car also had this mod). It has a roll cage fitted which can if the next owner requires be removed, also fitted is a gear stick Krook Lock which again can be removed if need be as it does look a bit ungainly. Stainless exhaust, Panasonic AM/FM/CD player Only 2 owners since 1986. The car looks, runs, and sounds superb and is ready for some enjoyable summer motoring. Although not required the car will come with a fresh 12-month MoT and serviced.
