This gorgeous E-Type was supplied on the plate EUV 308J by Henleys in London on the 16th of Feb 1970 to a tool company in Surrey. They sold the car in 1975 to a Mr Knight from Orpington, Kent. The car then passed to its third owner in 1977, a Mr Witcombe from New Maldon. It changed hands again in 1981 and was bought by a Mr Davis from Wokingham. he sold the car on in 1984 to a Mr Ryan who registered the car on the plate 64 SM. The Ryan family kept ownership until 1998 when it passed to a Mr Devonshire from Peterborough who kept it until 2006. The car was assigned its current plate. It then passed through the hands of a dealer and onto a Mr Wright of Farnham who sold it on in 2016 which is when we bought the car. We have used the car sparingly and it has remained on display in our showroom.
This car is not a freshly restored car but is all the better for it. It drives exceptionally well, everything works and the car is ready to drive and enjoy. The rear axle was removed and rebuilt 3 years ago by XK engineering. These Series two cars are the best of both worlds, with the sporty feel of the original car but with the extra braking, cooling and comfort that development brought. The car has its original engine and is finished in its original colour of BRG.
