For sale from my private collection 1961 Austin Healey MKII BT7 3000 Tri carb with the very rare centre change gearbox. Original UK car, all numbers matching. Finished in its original colours of Old English White with Red side panels, Red interior with white piping the roof is red vinyl as is the tonneau cover. Fitted with overdrive, chrome wire wheels and heater. The car was registered by Lookers Manchester on the 29th December 1961 it remained in ownership in the UK until 1988 when it went to enjoy the glorious sunshine of Southern California, there it stayed until it was then brought back to the UK in 1999. We have the Heritage certificate along with registration documents from when it was in California and MoTs from 1999 upon it's return to these shores.
The previous owner to myself treated the car to a full body off restoration back in 2006/7 we have photographs of different stages of the restoration. At that time, he elected to fit the new Le Mans style front wings with the side vents. The body on the car is superb, the underside, chassis, jacking points, outriggers etc are all perfect with no signs of rust or any horribly welded repairs. When I acquired the car some 3 and a half years ago, we were not happy with the engine performance, so the engine was removed the bores were assessed to only need to be honed and likewise the crankshaft was polished. New bearings, oil pump, head gasket etc were fitted and the carburettors were rebuilt.
I have only driven the car on very rare occasions and have probably only covered less than 1,000 miles since ownership, the car is in my storage and I will take more photographs when I can.
